The International Conference on Recent Advances in Information Systems (ICRAIS) has become a reputable academic international conference for discussing the emerging trends in Information Systems. The conference will include oral presentations from researchers and practitioners from across the world focusing on recent issues in Information Systems. All the papers will be reviewed by members of the Technical Programme Committee. Accepted papers will be presented orally during face to face sessions or online sessions. Prof. Dr. Jorge Marx Gómez

Prof. Dr Jorge Marx Gómez is a Full Professor and Chair of Business Information Systems at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, Germany. He also serves as Director of the TRUST@UOL – Center for Transformations and Sustainable Futures (fomerly COAST) at the University of Oldenburg and is a board member of the Energy Group at the OFFIS Institute. His research interests include Business Information Systems, federated ERP systems, Business Intelligence, Data Science, applied artificial intelligence, interoperability, Environmental Management Information Systems, ICT for sustainability, and e-commerce and mobile commerce. Prof. Marx Gómez studied Computer Engineering and Industrial Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, Germany. He was a lecturer and researcher at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, where he completed his PhD in Business Information Systems in 2001 and later his postdoctoral lecture qualification (Habilitation) in 2004. From 2002 to 2003, he was Visiting Professor of Business Informatics at Clausthal University of Technology, Germany, and subsequently held guest lecturing appointments internationally.

In recognition of his sustained international academic engagement and long-term institutional collaboration, Prof. Marx Gómez has received multiple honorary appointments. In 2004, he was appointed Honorary Professor of Business Informatics at Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas, Cuba. In 2025, Nelson Mandela University (South Africa) conferred an Honorary Professorship on him in the Department of Computing Sciences (Faculty of Science), recognising long-standing academic cooperation. Prof. Marx Gómez has coordinated numerous national and international research, capacity-building, and mobility projects (including Tempus, Erasmus Mundus, and DAAD) and has participated in several EU FP7 projects. He is the principal academic coordinator and grant holder of the GIZ/DAAD-funded project dSkills@EA  and CENIT@EA: Digital Skills for an Innovative East African Industry.

Associate Professor (Dr) Sameerchand Pudaruth and Associate Professor (Dr) Kevin Roopesh Sungkur

Dr. Sameerchand Pudaruth is an Associate Professor at the University of Mauritius. He has a PhD in Artificial Intelligence. He also holds an LLB from the University of London. He is currently at the ICT Department in the Faculty of Information, Communication & Digital Technologies. He is a senior member of IEEE & ACM and a founding member of the IEEE Mauritius Section. He is also a member of the British Computer Society (BCS). His research interests are Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Machine Translation, Computer Vision, Robotics, Mobile Applications, Web Technologies, and Information Technology Law.  He has written more than 90+ papers for national & international journals and conferences. He has worked on many funded projects from the Higher Education Commission, Mauritius Research and Innovation Council and the University of Mauritius. He has been in the organising committee of many successful international conferences such as Africon 2013, IST Africa 2014, Africon 2015, ICCCS 2015, BigData 2015, DIPECC 2015, Africhi 2016, Emergitech 2016, NextComp 2017-2024, ISCMI 2017, Mauritian Academic Conference 2018, icABCD 2018-2025, Elecom 2018-2022, ICRAIS 2025 and FLAME 2025. He has also written a book entitled, ‘Python in One Week’.

Dr Kevin Roopesh SUNGKUR is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Software and Information Systems, Faculty of Information Communication and Digital Technologies, University of Mauritius. He has been acting as consultant for organizations such as the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), Southern African Development Community (SADC), Commonwealth of Learning (COL), African Development Bank (ADB) and MasterCard Foundation (MCF). He is also actively engaged in research where he has published extensively in the field of Information Systems and Technology Enhanced Learning. He has been working on a number of research projects, nationally and internationally that promote the use of ICT in everyday life.
